Welcome to the Wine and Vinyl Club. A podcast for people who love drinking wine and listening to good music. Once a fortnight David, Chris and Christian discuss an album from an eclectic mix of classics from the Beatles through to Harry Styles. Then the fun part, we attempt to match a bottle of wine to the album and also sample a value wine and occaisionally a cocktail too. We hope to encourage our listeners to try something different when drinking or listening to music and most importantly have a laugh with us.

A first for the Wine & Vinyl Club, everyone brings a wine to this episode. Do we manage to get through three bottles and remain reasonably coherent? Pour yourself a lovely drink, settle down and listen to find out, as we largely disagree about Curtis Mayfield’s 1975 melancholy funk album, There’s no place like America today.
To match this album, Chris brings a $60 bottle of 2017 Amelia Park Cabernet Sauvignon from the Margaret River Region, Western Australia. An outstanding example of a Margaret River Cab Sav, with dark brooding fruit and notes of cedar and graphite.

Christian decides on a $75 bottle of Julian James Rare Pedro 1978 Solero Blend No. 2 from Talijancich Wines in Swan Valley, Western Australia. This is Christian’s favourite winery when he’s in the mood for a fortified. This immense wine tasted like Christmas in a bottle.

David brings a $59 bottle of 2007 Chateau Lafaurie- Peyraguey a Premier Grand Cru Classé Sauternes from France.
