Wine & Vinyl Club
Welcome to the Wine and Vinyl Club. A podcast for people who love drinking wine and listening to good music. Once a fortnight David, Chris and Christian discuss an album from an eclectic mix of classics from the Beatles through to Harry Styles. Then the fun part, we attempt to match a bottle of wine to the album and also sample a value wine and occaisionally a cocktail too. We hope to encourage our listeners to try something different when drinking or listening to music and most importantly have a laugh with us.

S2 Ep9. The Seldom Seen Kid by Elbow
There’s a fair bit of disagreement about this album but not the wines, they are terrific. Is The Seldom Seen Kid by Elbow a romantic testament to love, a bag of sickly sweet love poems or pretentious artsy guff? You be the judge, when you listen to the Wine & Vinyl Club.
To match The Seldom Seen Kid, Christian brings an Italian white. The 2021 San Marzano Timo Vermentino. An elegant, refreshing and mineral wine with delicate white floral aromas combined with notes of thyme. https://sanmarzano.wine/
While Chris brings a fantastic medium bodied red from Chile. The 2020 Casillero del Diablo, Reserva Privada Carmenere from the Rapel Valley. https://www.casillerodeldiablo.com/wine/reserva-privada-carmenere/
